At the end of September we took a flight in a small air-plane from the Airport in Greenfield, Nova Scotia. The flight took us over Ponhook and Molega Lakes as well as lakes nearby and then onto the coast and the LaHave Islands, Hirtle Beach and Gaff Point then back along the LaHave River and over Bridgewater. The Fall colours had just started and although not near their peak it made a colourful flight. From the air it was surprisingly difficult to recognize the many lakes below. Having a GPS in my camera made it possible to retrace our flight in google maps and then identify the locations and as can be seen by the text with each photograph, I was able to give the names of the lakes as well as any other relevant location features.
