Humber River Forests

The Photographs are of small forests near the Humber River, between Highway 400 to Bolton and south to the Kortright Conservation Centre.

These forests have attributes of old growth forests, particularly as they have numerous trees that are well over 100 years old. Most of these forests exist because they are on step banks along the river which would have made them very difficult to log.

There are more forests along the river that I want to photograph during the spring, summer and fall but many are on public lands and because of the need for social distancing access to the nearby trails has been closed. Once this closure is lifted I will continue to explore and photograph these forests.
